The Lovely Hand Family

I adore family photos, especially when adorable babies are involved! I mean come on, these two are just two cute for words! Their innocent smiles and curious nature added a little magic for me as a family beach photographer.

They split their year between living in San Diego and West Palm Beach, FL. Since they already have family photos on the beach in Florida, their mama wanted San Diego beach photos as well.

Two and a half-year-old Lila was more than happy to play in the sand and love on her mama. Of course being the sweet big sister that she is, she couldn’t help but snuggle on her 7-month-old baby brother Cuyler too. The innocent and tender attention she gave to her brother absolutely melted my heart.

Coronado Beach

The session took place on the beach in beautiful Coronado. The soft sand dunes with hints of greenery and the glow of the sun were a perfect backdrop!

Capturing Motherhood

I absolutely love capturing motherhood! It makes my heart swoon. Originally mom wasn’t planning on being in the photos, but I convinced her otherwise and I am so glad I did! It’s so important for mamas to be in the photos.  Too much of a mama’s life goes undocumented as she is often the one snapping the photos and rarely in them except for the occasional selfie.

The photos perfectly captured the pure innocence and sweetness of this age when mama is their whole entire world. The gentle ocean breeze and yummy golden lighting added to the natural feel of this session. From the playful interactions between Cuyler and Lila to the loving interactions between them and their mom, this shoot was pure perfection.
