Why This Matters to Me
Because the sacredness of your everyday should last
A calling shaped by love, loss, and His grace.
Even as a little girl with a Polaroid in my hands, I was trying to freeze time. But I didn’t understand how much a photo could truly mean until I lost my dad. Suddenly, an image wasn’t just a picture. It was a lifeline. A way to feel close again. A reminder that love doesn’t end.
Shortly after, I became a mother myself, and everything changed again. I saw how fleeting it all was. How quickly little ones grow, how fast the moments go. I wanted to press pause, to remember it all.
And then, I lost my mom.
I nearly walked away from this work. Grief was heavy, and I couldn’t imagine stepping behind the camera again. But in the quiet, He met me. He reminded me that this is more than a job, it’s a calling. A way to serve. A way to help other mothers hold on to the love He’s placed in their lives.
So now, I photograph Wilmington families, with a heart wide open, tender to the sacred, attuned to the holy spirit, and always praying that the work I create becomes a blessing far beyond the moment it was captured.
