The moment I met this gorgeous mama, I knew that we would be great friends! I met her at Stroller Strides (if you are in the area and have a baby, you should definitely check them out! I have met so many amazing mamas and now great friends here.) when she asked how old my son was when he first got his curls because she was really hoping her little guy would have curls. Fast forward to now, and her baby boy Kai recently turned one with a head of beautiful curls!
Kai’s one year session was a beautiful summer evening at the beach, perfect for a portrait session. I met Kai and his parents down at the beach for a fun family session to celebrate Kai recently turning one! Kai’s grandmother also came along for the session so we took the opportunity to get some multi-generational portraits. I love it when I am able to include grandparents in my sessions. The resulting images are family keepsakes that will be treasured for generations to come.
Kai is absolutely adored by his parents! It’s a beautiful thing to see and capture the way they look at their baby boy. Their entire faces just light up with love and joy when they look at him. It is a love so strong that you can see and feel through the images – that fierce love that only parents can feel. The whole session was filled with smiles and laughter. Kai ruled the session, so we did a lot of moving and playing and exploring. Kai loved the beach, and especially loved the ocean. I was able to capture sweet and playful memories and Kai played in the waves with his parents!
