I'm Michelle
Because you shouldn’t have to choose just one moment to remember, this is your way to hold on to the whole story.
Because some moments are meant to be seen as they unfold, movement, emotion, and the beauty of this season, just as it was.
Topsail Beach and the surrounding Topsail Island area aren’t just beautiful. They’re filled with delicious dining options that even the pickiest eaters will enjoy. We put together a list of our favorite kid friendly restaurants on Topsail Beach. Whether you’re craving burgers, tacos, seafood, or a relaxed dinner after a day in the sun, these family-friendly restaurants have something for everyone.

If your kids love burgers, crispy tater tots, and easygoing vibes, don’t miss Surf City Smash. They serve juicy grass-fed smash burgers, delicious cheesesteak sandwiches, and classic comfort food in a relaxed, casual setting. Families head here for lunch or dinner after a morning on the beach. Stop in when you want a quick, satisfying meal that kids genuinely love.
Bonus: Stop by Salt Marsh Market right next door for a milkshake or treat after!
Don’t forget to stop by Larry’s Deli-Que while you’re in town. A local staple in Topsail Beach, this cozy deli and smokehouse serves stacked sandwiches, smoked barbecue, burgers, pizza all in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Their fries are cooked in real beef tallow and are absolutely incredible. Trust me, they’re worth the visit alone. They also make a point to source ingredients locally whenever possible, which makes it even easier to feel good about dining here.
Whether your kids go for a classic cheeseburger or something heartier like smoked meats, Larry’s offers plenty of variety to please every appetite.
Bonus: After dinner, grab an ice cream cone at Four Cousins Ice Cream for the best homemade ice cream on the island!
When it comes to seafood with kid-friendly appeal, Main Lobster Shack is a must-try. While lobster lovers can indulge in fresh seafood favorites, the menu also features mac and cheese and hot dogs, that are perfect for younger eaters or anyone wanting something simple and delicious. Their moon pies are always a hit with the kids.
Bonus: It has the most stunning views of the marsh and bridge, especially at sunset.
For a laid-back, beachy meal that kids usually can’t resist, Shaka Taco delivers creative tacos, bowls, and wings that are fresh and flavorful. It has outdoor seating and a casual order-at-the-window style. Perfect for families who want a quick yet delicious meal without formal sit-down service.
Bonus: It is right next to the beach!
Pizza is always a crowd-pleaser with kids. Beach Bum’s Pizza Bar & Grill delivers classic pies, grilled favorites, and a relaxed beach town setting. A perfect dinner option after a long day in the surf or sand.
Bonus: It’s close enough to grab and head to Soundside Park or the beach.

These photographs become treasures passed through generations. Your children will one day hold these images close, seeing themselves through your loving eyes and discovering the quiet grace that surrounded their earliest days.
